Vernon J. Boos

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Eagle Aerie, #622 Club in St. Cloud for Vernon J. Boos, age 65, of St. Joseph, who passed away on January 27, 2022.  

Vern was born May 18, 1956, to Urban and Agnes (Dahnke) Boos. He was a life-long resident of St. Cloud/St. Joseph. He married his wife, Ruth Ruegemer on October 9, 1982. The couple made their home in St. Joseph, raising two daughters. Vern worked at his father’s roofing company as a kid. He spent most of his life working in the Sartell Paper Mill until it shut down. After he retired from the paper mill, he spent some years driving a dump truck for some local landscaping companies.

In his free time Vern enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed camping with his hunting buddies and running ATV trails. He spent his summers gardening and sitting out on the back deck just watching the grass grow. Vern was a simple man who enjoyed good conversation over a cold beer. He will be missed.

Vern is survived by his wife Ruth of St. Joseph, daughters Amelia of St. Cloud, Kendal of Melrose, and sister Karen (Tim) Bautch of Buffalo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Urban and Agnes, and his brother, Charles.
