Brigitte S. Schneider

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Brigitte S. Schneider, age 84 of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Timothy Gapinski will officiate. Private interment will take place at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Brigitte was born October 27, 1929 in Oberhausen, Sterkrade, Germany to Theodor and Maria (Breilmann) Stamm. She came to the United States after WWII and married Arthur K. Olson on January 1, 1949 at Minnesota Lake, they later divorced. Brigitte later married Norbert L. Schneider on April 30, 1976 in St. Cloud, he preceded her in death. She owned and operated Fred’s Café on Highway 10 in East St. Cloud and Brigitte’s Café in Clearwater and St. Cloud until selling the business to her children in April of 1998. Brigitte was a member of St. Anthony’s parish.
Brigitte is survived by her daughter, Julie Bichler of St. Cloud; sons, David (Julie) Olson of Clearwater and Michael (Debbie) Olson of Foley; stepchildren, Billy (Kim) Schneider of Sartell, Patty Winkelman of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Arthur, Bradley, Sherry, Shane, Angela and Elizabeth; five great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; five step grandchildren, Kenny, Holly, Jacob, Billie and Jon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Arthur Olson in 2007 and Norbert Schneider in 2010; brother, Horst; and sister, Ursala.
