Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Ermalinda B. Hollenhorst, age 89, of St. Cloud. Ermalinda passed away September 25, 2015 at Ridgeway on German in New Ulm. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Marcus Parish Cemetery in Clear Lake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
Ermalinda was born August 9, 1926 in Albany, MN to Michael and Barbara (Lindner) Gresser. She married Julius Hollenhorst on February 14, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. She lived in St. Cloud most of her married life. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Christian Women. She also volunteered at Catholic Charities for over 36 years. She will be remembered for her caramel rolls, casinos wins, beef alamode, and her red geraniums.
Ermalinda is survived by her sons Michael of Hill City, MN, David (Mary) of Elysian, MN, and Roger (Donna) of West St. Paul, MN, five grandchildren; Raven, Courtney, Yohanah, Sarah and Lisa, three great grandchildren; Cleveland, Teo, Maya, Sophia and Jessica and her brother Michael (Joan) Gresser of Minnesota.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Julius (2009), brothers Jerome, Leander, and Ralph Gresser and sister Lorraine Grimes.

I have many fond memories of Erma and Julius. They were always fun to see! My condolences to Mike, Dave, Roger and families.
Our condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and Julius are fondly remembered aunt and uncle.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will probably wear pink since that was Erma’s favorite color from what I remember as a child.
