Gerald B. "Jerry" Rassier

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Gerald B. “Jerry” Rassier, 85, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Jerry passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Country Manor Care Center in Sartell. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the Church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Jerry was born on March 29, 1930 in St. Joseph to the late Roman and Stella (Storkamp) Rassier. He married Luverne I. Lauermann on April 21, 1949 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Throughout his life, Jerry was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad, owned and operated Jerry’s Texaco Service and was a salesman at Bob’s Auto Lot. Jerry was a member of the St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622.

Jerry was very creative and enjoyed spending time in his garage “fixing or building anything”. He also enjoyed playing cards, boating, snowmobiling, bowling and above all treasured time with his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his children, Ron (Judi) Rassier, Deborah (Mike) Lechner and Cindy (John) Clemens all of St. Cloud; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Brent (Michelle) Rassier and their daughters, Lauren and Ella, Christi (Eric) Laumeyer and their sons Tate and Emmett, Brian (Katie) Rassier and their children Julia, Miles and Owen, Michelle Lechner, Nicole Lechner; brothers and sisters, Roman “Red” (Jan) of California, Doreen Murphy of St. Cloud, Marilyn (Ken) Pierskalla of St. Cloud, Jeanine Farley of Brooklyn Park, Sharon (Al) Eich of St. Cloud, Harvey (Jan) of St. Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luverne in 2010; infant brother, William; and sister, Phyllis Kvalevog.

Memorials are preferred.
