Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Joyce Katherine Nierengarten, age 72 of Buffalo, MN (formerly St. Cloud). Reverend Ron Weyrens will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery in Sartell immediately after the service.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Gathering Space in Sartell.
Joyce passed away on December 12, 2020, surrounded with loved ones. Born July 24th 1948 in St. Cloud, MN to Arthur “Art” and Asella “Sally” (Theisen) Nierengarten.
Joyce was a compassionate, caring person and became friends with pretty much anyone she met. She was always talking and spending time with her grandchildren and most recently, a great granddaughter. Joyce was most of all a loving and caring person, with so many amazing qualities.
While raising her 3 children and after they got older, Joyce worked various positions in customer service and enjoyed talking with people.
Joyce ultimately moved to Buffalo to be with her sweetheart, Dale Mielke, and was with him until her passing.
Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will always be in all our hearts.
Joyce is survived by two of her children, Robb Schrom of St. Cloud, Tammy (Larry) Kiffmeyer (Schrom) of St. Cloud; 3 grandchildren, Derek Kiffmeyer (fiancée Sidney Anderson), Drew Kiffmeyer and Angie Kiffmeyer; 1 great-grandchild and the latest love of Joyce’s life, Rilynn Kiffmeyer; 2 sisters, Marlene (Rich) Montgomery of Burnsville and Amy (Mark) Supan of St. Stephen; and 3 brothers, Lloyd Nierengarten of SD, Dan (Carol) Nierengarten of Sartell and Mike (Kelly) Nierengarten of OR.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Angela Schrom in 1987; her parents; and recently her sister, Lou Ann Foster.
