October 25, 1942 – March 25, 2016

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Sharon R. Yackley, age 73, of St. Cloud who passed away at her home on Friday, March 25, 2016 surrounded by her family. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment of the urn will take place at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sharon was born on October 25, 1942 in Melrose, Minnesota to John and Alma (Zirbes) Fahnhorst. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School before attending St. Cloud Vo-tech. She worked in the Human Services Department at Stearns County for many years.
Sharon loved visiting and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed stopping at MT’s Bar & Grill for lunch and cold one.
She is survived by her children; Bill (Mary Backes) of Luxemburg, Jon (Dawn) Yackley of St. Stephen, and Robin (David) Smith of Rockville; grandchildren, Cameron, Kaylin (Hassan), Josh, Amanda, Hannah, Carly; great-grandchildren, Dezyrae, Jacob, Zayn; brothers, Gary (Sheryl) Fahnhorst of Anoka, Ron (Barb)Fahnhorst of St. Cloud; and nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brandon in 2013; and brother, Rick.
A Special Thank You to the wonderful staff of the Coborn Cancer Center for the exceptional care and support given to Sharon and her family.
