Francis J. Yurczyk

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on August 8, 2024, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church at St. Wendel, MN for Francis John Yurczyk age 84.  He died on July 29, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings, Montana.  The Reverend Laurin Virnig will be the celebrant.  Burial will be in the St. Columbkille Parish Cemetery at St. Wendel, MN.  Visitation for the public will be one hour prior to the funeral mass at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in St. Wendel.

Frank was born on July 18, 1940, the son of Andrew Joseph and Agnes (Patrias) Yurczyk on a farm near St. Wendel, MN.  He was raised on the family dairy farm.  After school, he started his USDA Forest Service Career as a forester and logging systems engineer in McCloud and Shasta, CA. After his marriage in 1966 to Anita Anderson (Yurczyk) they moved to Thompson Falls, MT where he retired after completing 62 years of federal service in 2021.

He was preceded in death by; his mother and father (Andrew Joseph Yurczyk, Agnes Patrias Yurczyk), sisters: Elaine Marsolek and Angeline Sowada, and brother, Lee Yurczyk.

Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years Anita Anderson Yurczyk; his daughter Lucretia (Casey) Yurczyk Smith; grandsons, Langdon & Rowyn Smith; sisters, Jan (Art) Weser, Judy Yurczyk, Mary Jo (Ken) Schlichting, and Cindy Campbell; brothers, Roger (Dixie) Yurczyk, Richard (Marlene) Yurczyk, Patrick (Raechel) Yurczyk, Andrew Yurczyk Jr.; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends
