Gabriel J. Armbrust

Gabriel J. Armbrust, age 36 passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 20, 2026.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Hope Covenant Church in St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be at 10 am with the service following at 11 am.
Born January 23, 1990, he was the son of Darrell and Kathy (Rouch) Armbrust. He graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud in 2008. After high school he was employed at Jenni-O in Melrose, MN and at Branding Iron in Sauk Rapids, MN.
Gabriel will be remembered as a gentle giant who cared deeply for his family and friends. He had a great appreciation of nature and the arts and as a talented artist himself, enjoyed drawing, painting and playing the piano. He loved the North Shore of MN so much that he preferred a vacation along the North Shore to a high school graduation party. He also loved music, especially hard rock. All animals were important to him, especially his pets Gideon, Black Jack and Valkyrie.
Gabe was an avid video game enthusiast. He loved “The Legend of Zelda” so much that, in honor of his best friend Ryan, who shared his love of the game, he had the “Triforce” symbol forever imprinted on the back of his hand.
Gabriel is survived by his parents, Darrell and Kathy of St. Cloud, MN, grandparents Roger and Diane Rouch of St. Cloud, MN, siblings Craig (Heidi) Armbrust of Delano, MN, Travis (Ginny) Visser-Armbrust of Sauk Rapids, MN, Benjamin (Melinda) Lee of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Kevin (Dani) Armbrust of Sauk Rapids, MN, along with 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Helen Armbrust and his step-grandmother Mary Armbrust.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Central MN Youth for Christ and/or the Tri-County Humane Society.
