Mary E. Weinand

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Mary E. Weinand, age 79 of Sartell who passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery, Sartell.

Family and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Francis Xavier Parish Gathering Space in Sartell. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, Sartell.

Mary was born June 20, 1934 in Collegeville, Minnesota to Math and Mary (Bernard) Zwilling. She married Walter M. Theisen on October 12, 1954 at St. John the Baptist Abbey Church, Collegeville, he preceded her in death. Later Mary was united in marriage to Willis J. Weinand on May 29, 1987 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sartell. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish and Christian Women.

Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, feeding wild birds; she was an excellent seamstress.

Mary is survived by her husband, Willis; children, Gail (John) Lintgen of St. Cloud and Joan Theisen of St. Cloud; two grandchildren, Brian Lintgen and Michelle (Matt) Jacobi; stepchildren, Patrick Weinand of Sartell, Lynn Weinand of Clearwater, Joe Weinand of Sartell and Lori Osga of Sartell; five step grandchildren; brother and sisters, Doris Pinault of Cottage Grove, Verna Schroeder of St. Cloud, Marlene Herzing of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Matt of Alexandria and Lois of St. Cloud.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brothers, Rita Rausch, Gerald and Donald.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
