This mroning my wife asked me if I thought Fr Taufen was still alive. I did a Google check and we were both sad to see that he had recently died. In October we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We wanted to let him know and thank him. It is still not to late. Thank you Fr Taufen, we have had a good life together and you were there to council us and be our friend when we were still kids.

Fr. Dan was one of my favorite uncles! One of my best memories of him was when I was about 4 or 5 years old. He drove a few of us kids to our Uncle Larry’s cottage on Grand Lake. It was dark and he pretended to be lost. He would swerve the car a little here and there and us kids would scream and laugh. I remember being scared but somehow very safe. I imagine that is how Fr. Dan made many people feel….safe during the scary times.
You are loved and will be missed!

father dan taufen. was a wonderful priest. i enjoyed all his sermons. all his parishinors will miss him deeply. and now he is with the lord our savior. and his family. in the gates of heaven. father you have bless us all here on earth. god bless you.

In my previous note it should have been to Fr. Dan…not Dr. Dan!

Dr. Dan was such a wonderful Uncle. I loved listening to him talk…He had the best stories about growing up in the large Taufen family. He’s now with my Mom, Mary Lou, and all the rest of his siblings, parents & family members. How the stories must be flowing in Heaven! Rest in peace, Fr. Dan!!!
