Gayle A. Suchy

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Gayle A. Suchy, age 71 of St. Joseph who passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph and after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Joseph.
Gayle was born August 22, 1941 in Ortley, South Dakota to August and Emma (Schwartz) From. She married Douglas D. Cox in Billings, Montana; he preceded her in death in 1973. Gayle later married James P. Suchy on June 5, 1976 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Princeton by Reverend Maury Suchy. She was a longtime resident of St. Joseph and member of St. Joseph Parish.
Gayle enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, trips to the casino and card playing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Karen (Kremer) Suchy of Brooklyn Center, Brenda (Suchy) Blackmore and her husband Jim of Albany, Cindy (Cox) Roelofs and her husband Jason of Waconia, Kevin (Colleen) Cox of St. Joseph and Charlene (Suchy) Berglin and her husband Ron of Alexandria; ten grandchildren, Justin and Alyssa Kremer, Aaron and Matthew Blackmore, Sam Roelofs, Parker and Paige Cox, Kathy, Sammy and Dillan Berglin; brothers, Eldon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Wallace of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Denise Cox; brothers, Lester, Clayton, Milton, Stanley, Gene and Wayne; sisters, Helen Baker, Marcelle Pien, Shirley Everson, Donna Stromseth, Inez Lahman and Yvonne Shilhanek.
