Roger S. Workman

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Silver Creek, for Roger S. Workman, age 70, of Clearwater. Roger passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Reverend Norm Hanan will officiate. Burial will take place in Acacia Cemetery in Clearwater.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater and after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Roger was born on September 14, 1942 in Monticello, Minnesota to Ollie and Agnes (Wohne) Workman. He graduated from Annandale High School in 1961. Roger married Susan M. Affield on May 25, 1968 and they made their home in Clearwater. He worked as a mechanic for Super Valu retiring in 2003.

Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially treasured all the time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife; children, Troy (Lisa) of Erhard, Karin (Shayne) Heath of Big Lake; grandchildren, Emily, Eric, and Matthew; sisters and brother, Wilma Anderson, Mary (Harry) Gunnerson, James (Rhea); and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John and Jerry.
