Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 12:30 PM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for John V. Dietman, age 54, formerly of St. Cloud and a resident of Watkins. John died on Friday as a result of a motorcycle accident near his home. Rev. Richard Leisen will officiate. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church.
John Victor Dietman was born December 18, 1957, in St. Cloud to Victor and Dorothy (Loehrer) Dietman, Jr. He was a 1976 graduate of Apollo High School. John married Mary (Pribbenow) Gilbertson on July 31, 2004. They have resided in Watkins for the past eight years. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He loved life and people. John was a good friend to many and was always willing to help anyone in need.
John is survived by the love of his life, his best friend, and wife, Mary; parents, Victor, Jr. and Dorothy of St. Cloud; sisters, Linda Arnold (Bob) Clear Lake and Patricia Kunkel (Roger) St. Cloud; nephews, Sean Arnold (Angie) of Foley, and Joshua Kunkel (Megan) of Albertville; nieces, Mary Catherine Bzdok (Tom) of Osseo, and Stephanie Kunkel of St. Cloud; 7 great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Eric Nieman of Sartell, whom he loved like a son.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Victor III (Butch).

Jesus Christ boldly promised the resurretion hope In John 5:21.28,29) Yes Jesus promised that millions now dead will live again here on earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful paradasaic conditions. What a wonderful hope to look forward to. (Psalms 37:10,11,29, and 72:7,8)
