Agnes G. Landwehr

August 21, 1920 – March 19, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta, for Agnes G. Landwehr, age 91, of St. Augusta, who passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Benedicts Senior Community. Reverend Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial of the urn will take place in the parish cemetery on Friday.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the St. Mary Help of Christians parish center in St. Augusta. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in St. Augusta. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Agnes was born on August 21, 1920 in Mena, Arkansas to August and Agnes (Minten) Hoag. She married Bruno B. Landwehr on August 24, 1948 in Mena, Arkansas. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom who raised twelve children. She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and Christian Women.

Agnes loved playing cards, knitting and crocheting, visiting with friends and collecting anything owl-related. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Philip of St. Cloud, Clayton (Marcia) of Phoenix, AZ, David (Colleen) of St. Cloud, Eileen (Greg) Nelson of St. Cloud, Miles (Deb) of Ramsey, Mark (Debbie) of Andover, Barbara (Ken) Preusser of St. Cloud, Ernest (Nancy) of Altoona, Iowa, Ross (Donna) of Clearwater, Yvonne (Mike) Leedahl of Avon, Karen (Dan) McCarl of Boulder, MT and Jeff (Cheryl) of Minneapolis; 24 grandchildren; and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bruno in 2006; sisters, Mary, Margaret and Harriet; and brothers, Joe and Bernard.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

I loved aunt Aggie, she was so sweet to me even when she worked at the cafe back in Mena so many years ago. She always made me feel so special.

I WILL MISS THE CROCHETED DISH SCRUBBERS SHE SO GRACIOUSLY MADE FOR ALL OF US IN WYNNE, I REMEMBER THE CARD GAMES AT MOMS AND AT AUNT MARYS. SHE WAS A GREAT HUGGER AND LOVED ALL OF HER DOZEN KIDS. REMEMBER ALL THE GOOD TIMES IT HAS REALLY HELPED ME AND REMEMBER SHE AND MOM ARE PLAYING CARDS AND CROCHETING NOW.
