May 18, 1930 – February 8, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Jeanette E. Ramler, 81, of St. Cloud will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Jean passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at her home. Reverend Thomas Knoblach and Reverend Gregory Lieser will con-celebrate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. and the Christian Women along with Catholic United Financial and the Sartell Knights of Columbus Bishop Trobec Council #5276 will pray the rosary at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Jean was born on May 18, 1930 in Lake Henry, Minnesota to the late Claude and Rose (Lenz) Hess. She married Victor J. Ramler on June 25, 1956 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Regal. Jean enjoyed staying home and raising her five children before working for School District #742 in Food Service from 1977-1998. She was an active member of St. Anthony’s Parish, Christian Women and Catholic United Financial and the St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary.
Jean enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with her sisters, selling tickets at Tech High School sporting events, walking, gardening, playing cards and volunteering in the community and at St. Anthony’s. She will be remembered for her generosity, baking skills “especially her holiday cookies,” sense of humor and she could play a mean game of spoons.
Jean is survived by her children, Janice (Joe) Vieau of Maple Grove, Jack (Linda) of St. Cloud, Jill (Jeff) Dobesh of Bloomington, JoAnn Ramler (Marc Williamson) of Bloomington, Jeff (Elaine) of Sartell; ten grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna and Jill Vieau, Emily and Joseph Dobesh, Matthew, Jeni and Michael Williamson, Andrea and Claire Ramler; brothers and sisters, Delores (Herman) Kampsen of Elrosa, Alice (Herbert) Younkin of Paynesville, Luverne (Micki) Hess of South Haven, Allan (Lucy) Hess of Cold Spring, Joan (Ron) Johnson of Pequot Lakes, Dan(Joyce) Hess of St. Anna; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor on July 8, 1987; brother, Floyd Hess and infant brother, LeRoy Hess.
Memorials are preferred.
