Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, for Mark J. Fiedler, age 49, of Rice, who passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 after an accident at his home. Reverend Thomas Becker will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church in Rice. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Mark was born on January 23, 1962 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Norbert and Virginia (Legatt) Fiedler. He worked as a print operator for the majority of his life. Mark had a great love for the outdoors and was happiest outside making wood or hunting. He was also a WWII buff, who just recently fulfilled a dream of flying in a B-17 Flying Fortress. Though he did not have children of his own, he very much enjoyed spending time with his nine nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Lee (Mary) of Maine, Danny (Janet) of Arizona; sisters, Karen (Kristof Van Assche) Wenz of St. Cloud, and Marlene (Rick) Schlichting of Rice; nieces and nephews, Amy, Jarod, Andy , Ben, Noah, Zach, Erin , Jocelyn and Nichole.

Mark always liked a good joke, he would laugh, then he always had a good joke to pass back to you. Mark was a great guy, that would do anything for you. I worked with Mark a number of years, and he will be missed. My sympathy to the Mark Fiedler family.

what a tremendous shock. mark was always a great person to work with and be around very funny and a very hard worker. i will always remember the times spent with you at work and other times out.god bless your family and rest in pease.
Mark you will be missed so much You were such a hard worker and the most caring person I have ever know you would do anything for anyone. I will miss the shop talk we had among our other long conversations.
