Elizabeth A. "Elsie" Dingmann

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MN for Elizabeth Arcella Dingmann age 91 formerly of St. Joseph and currently a resident of Good Shepherd Assisted Living in Sauk Rapids, MN. The Reverend Eberhard Schefers will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Parish Mausoleum in St. Joseph. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph.

Elsie was born on June 9, 1920, at Richmond, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine “Katie” (Stang) Schlangen. On October 25, 1944, she was united in marriage to Anton “Tony” Dingmann, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN. They then farmed in the Cold Spring area for twenty years. She worked for many years for Fingerhut and later Stearns Manufacturing. She and Tony also volunteered at the Whitney Senior and Key Row Dinning Site over the years where Tony played the concertina. She has been a resident of Good Shepherd Assisted living the last year and half.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph.

Elsie is survived by, one brother Marcus (Florina) Schlangen of Waite Park, MN, three sisters, Miranda Lauer of Sartell, MN, Bertha Braegelmann of Cold Spring, MN and Anna May Fleischhacker of Albany, MN, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, one sister Rose Hemmesch, and four brothers, Alfred, Hubert, Daniel and Gregor Schlangen.
