A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN for Gloria Rose Gardner, age 66 of St. Cloud, who died on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at her home. The Reverend Alan Wielinski will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery at Little Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Gloria was born on May 30, 1945, in Little Falls, MN the daughter of Lawrence H. and Helen R. (Kloss) Bauer. She grew-up in the rural Buckman area and graduated from Pierz High School in 1963. She was united in marriage to Arnold J. Gardner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at Buckman, MN. Two sons were born to this union. Gloria and her husband Arnold have lived in St. Cloud for 44 years where, they raised their family and have been members of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She retired from the Coborn Bakery in 2008.
Over the years, Gloria and Arnold traveled to 45 different states and 4 different cruises.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence H. Bauer.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 47 years Arnold of St. Cloud, two sons Robert (Kate) of Crystal, MN and Brian (Cyndi) of Sartell, MN, her three grandchildren, Skylar, Blayne, and Anja, her mother Helen Bauer of Little Falls, MN, two sisters Shirley (Donnie) Opatz and Judy (David) Glaze all of Little Falls and one brother Gerald (Mary Jane) Bauer of Royalton, MN, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
