Richard R. Lesnau, Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Richard R. Lesnau Sr., 72, of Big Lake and formerly of St. Cloud will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake. Richard died on Friday November 5, 2010 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Cloud peacefully with family by his side. Reverend Timothy Wenzel will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Richard was born on September 12, 1938 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Anthony and Mary (Malikowski) Lesnau. He married Cathleen Notch on January 5, 1958 in Illinois. They lived in Illinois until 1970 when they moved to St. Cloud and later to Florida in 1990. He was employed as a carpenter for various places and is a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake.

Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, vegetable sales, and most especially his family. He treasured their family camping trips.

Richard is survived by his wife Cathleen of Big Lake; children, Richard Jr. (Lynn) of Garfield, Raymond (Lisa) of Evansville, Corina Lesnau of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ronald of Big Lake, Catherine Peaslee (Buzz) of Florida, Robert (Christie) of Texas, Charleen Lesnau of Big Lake, Rodney (Amy) of Florida; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Marian Buidens of Florida and Lenore Kuesel of Wisconsin; and brother, Eugene of Florida

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Adrian, Willard, George, Arthur; and sisters, Dolores Zurawski, Georgia Lesnau and Shirley Cummings.
