I am so sorry to hear about Wanda, I just wanted to share this with her family that I remember when Wanda babysat me and my siblings when we were very young.(in the 50’s).the one thing I remember is that she wouldn’t let me have anymore ice cream before I went to bed and I was so upset with her and cryed and cryed. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Paynesville Lutheran Church for Wanda F. Vadner, age 77 of Paynesville who passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Reverend Audrey Zimmerman will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will take place at the Paynesville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.
Wanda was born on February 4, 1933 in Paynesville, Minnesota to James and Ella (Kelm) Custer. She married Dale L. Vadner on July 5, 1958 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville. Wanda lived in Paynesville all of her life and was a member of Paynesville Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Faye of Paynesville, James (Terri) of St. Cloud and Robert (Connie) of Eden Valley; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on July 30, 2003 and sister, Audrey Thayer on September 11, 2010.

Wanda was a great lady! I got to know her when I worked in Paynesville at Johnson Funeral Home. She was in the kitchen always helping with Kathryn and me and Wanda shared the love of pickles. So we always laughed about pickles. Everytime I saw her we laughed and joked around. She was great. I cannot believe she has died. That really caught me by surprise to see this obituary. I’m so sorry about your loss. She was a lot of fun.
