Caroline S. Schreiner

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 30 at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud for Caroline S. Schreiner, 94, of St. Cloud, who died Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Caroline was born on July 25, 1914 in St. Nicholas, Minnesota to John and Elizabeth (Schmit) Schreiner. She worked as a plane assembler at the Northwest Aircraft Defense Plant in St. Paul from 1942-1945 during WWII, and in food service at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud from 1945-1975. Caroline enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, camping, and traveling with her nieces and nephews. She is a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Eagles Aerie Auxiliary
Caroline is survived by: brothers, Gebhard “Geb” of St. Cloud, Alvin of St. Cloud, Robert (Marilyn) of St. Cloud; sister Marcella Thyen of New Brighton; sister-in-law Lucille (Traut) Schreiner; and 43 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers Raymond, Edmund, Wendelin “Van”, Werner “Dave”; sisters Loretta Schreiner, Bernadine Christman, Aurelia Thull-Grant ; and one nephew, Denis Christman.
