Leona C. Bormes

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Leona C. Bormes, age 92 of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Anthony Oelrich will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Leona was born on February 19, 1916 in Freeport, Minnesota to Henry and Theresa (Gresser) Bormes. She has lived in St. Cloud most of her life. Leona was employed as a Nurses Aid at the St. Cloud Hospital for 16 years, she retired in 1962. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Theresa’s Catholic Aid Association, Our Lady of the Orient Mission Circle, St. Augustine’s Parish and Christian Women.

Leona is survived by her brother, Emil of Spokane, Washington and sister, Betty Richards of Harris.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha, Adeline Wagner and Clara Rau; brothers, Ted, Leo, Richard and Ed.
