Lyle J. Lommel

January 23, 1984 – March 24, 2008

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Lyle J. Lommel, age 24 of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus Bishop Bartholome Council #12822 at 7:00 p.m. The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Father Pierz Assembly will stand honor guard from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Lyle was born on January 23, 1984 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Kenneth and Karen (Mugg) Lommel. He was a 2003 graduate of St. Cloud Apollo High School and later graduated from the St. Cloud Vocational Technical School in Sales and Management. He was employed as a cook in St. Cloud. Lyle was a member of St. John Cantius Parish and formerly St. Anthony’s parish where he was an altar server and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #12822.

Survivors include his parents; brother and sister, Ryan and Tracy all of St. Cloud and grandmother, Rita Mugg of Sauk Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Helen Lommel and Alcuin Mugg.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Lyle. I graduated with him in 2003 at Apollo. God Bless you all and find your comfort in God. When God takes something from your grasp, He’s notpunishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.
