July 26, 1947 – May 5, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Dale A. DeZiel, age 59, of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, May 5, at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Timothy Wenzel, Reverend Al Stangl, and Deacon Leo Kosiba will concelebrate. Burial will be in the Maine Prairie Cemetery, Kimball.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. and the Moose Lodge #1400 will pray at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Dale Adrian DeZiel was born in Morrill, MN on July 26, 1947, to Frank and Mildred (Warrick) DeZiel. He graduated from Technical High School, attended St. Cloud Vo-Tech, and enlisted in the US Navy. Dale was a career Navy serviceman. He married Lois Kalusche on April 28, 2000; they resided in St. Cloud, and traveled widely across the U.S. and Canada. Dale had an avid interest in lapidary science: collecting, cutting, and polishing rocks. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1400 and St. Anthony’s Parish. He was a loving husband, stepfather, grandpa, brother, and cousin and will be greatly missed.
Dale is survived by: his wife Lois of St. Cloud; step-children: Daniel Kalusche of Stillwater, Karen (Tim) Younger of Rochester, Maria (John) Kosiba of St. Cloud; five step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: D’Wayne (Elaine) of Pharr, TX, Arlene (Elmer) Rhode of Sartell, Margie (Jim) Rathbun of Watkins, Jerry (Ruby) of Coon Rapids, Gary (Joni) of St. Cloud, Patricia of Chanhassen, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Earl.
Dale’s family would like to thank the VA Medical Center staff for their wonderful care during his last days.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
