Marjorie L. Berg

A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Marge L. Berg age 78 of St. Cloud will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Marge passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans, Little Falls.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Veterans of Foreign Wars Granite Post #428 Auxiliary will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Marge was born on February 4, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Otto and Hildegard (Brick) Lorinser. She grew up in Willmar and was united in marriage to Gene L. Berg on June 25, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willmar. They moved to St. Cloud in 1950. Marge was a member of St. Peter’s parish for over 50 years and a member of the Christian Women, Daughters of Isabella, St. Cloud Hospital Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Granite Post #428 Auxiliary.

Marge was fond of spending time with her family and friends. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and enjoyed volunteering at the St. Cloud Hospital and St. Peter’s Church.

Marge is survived be her husband, Gene; her children, Mike (Wanda) of Tallassee, Alabama, Kathy “Casey” (Robert) Palmer of Muncie, Indiana, Jim (Patty) of St. Cloud and Jeanne (Ron) Terres of Cold Spring; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother, Richard of Eagen; three sisters, Ruth Bjornberg and Bernice Lawler both of Willmar and Mary Nygaard of Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, David and Robert and her sister, Dolores Glader.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
