Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Christine M. Scheeler, age 85 of Kimball who passed away on Friday, December 8, 2006 at her home. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. The Christian Women will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Christine was born on May 1, 1921 in Luxemburg, Minnesota to John and Gertrude (Bach) Heid. She married Aloys E. Scheeler on November 13, 1954 at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg. The couple lived and farmed in Maine Prairie Township for the past 52 years. Christine enjoyed being a homemaker and loved baking homemade bread, gardening, sewing, playing cards, games and the piano. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Christine was a lifetime member of St. Wendelin’s parish and a member of Christian Women and the St. Cloud VFW Post #428 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Aloys; children, Sharon Torborg and her husband Stephen of Luxemburg, Carol Klein and her husband David of Kimball, David and his wife Sharon of Merrifield, Lorin and his wife Jenny of Monticello and Mark and his wife Kelly of Becker; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Polly Kujawa of Kadoka, South Dakota and Delores Gunderson of White Bear Lake.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry.
