Helene T. Newman

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 at the Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater for Helene T. Newman, age 68, of Clearwater who died on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. The Rev. Scott Gjevre will officiate. Inurnment will be in Zion Cemetery, South Haven, MN. There will be a visitation after 1 pm on Friday at the church.

Helene was born on May 16, 1938 in Waidenburch, West Germany to Fredrich and Emma (Heinzman) Roth. She married Allen C. Newman on March 22, 1963 in Kornwestine, Germany. She has been a resident of the United States since 1968 and moved to Clearwater in 1983. She was employed by Fulfillment Systems in St. Cloud, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Rejoice Lutheran Church in Clearwater.

Helene will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Allen, children: Sandra Shoutz of Princeton, Gloria Husom (Troy) of Luxemburg, Gary Newman of Clearwater, Sheila Jacobs (Mark) of Clearwater, Duane Newman (Shirley) of Gilman and Terry Newman of Albany; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Fritz and Curt.
