Aldus "Al" Dahl
November 3, 1931 – March 11, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Aldus “Al” Dahl, age 82 of St. Cloud will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Al passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Reverend LeRoy Scheierl will officiate. Entombment will take place at the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Al was born November 3, 1931 in Edmore, North Dakota to Iver and Olga (Dovier) Dahl. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Al married Virginia “Gin” Mayer on June 16, 1955 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. He was employed by 7Up Bottling Company in St. Cloud for 34 years and later by Coborn’s Inc. until his retirement in 2005. Al was a member of St. Peter’s Parish.
Al enjoyed fishing, relaxing at his lake cabin on his pontoon and deck, handyman projects, cooking and grilling. Most important to Al was spending time with his family. His love and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Al is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gin; daughter, Kathy (David) Fitzgerald of Clear Lake; sons, Kevin (Mary) of Buffalo and Keith (Karen) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Briana (Travis) Hagen, Bridget (Kyle) Chesley, Abby Dahl, Sarah Fitzgerald, Molly Fitzgerald, Kirsten Fitzgerald and Kaelyn Dahl; great grandchildren, Treyton, Tatum, Connor, Peyton, Kendall and Caevin; and brother, Iver, Jr. (Teri) of Park River, North Dakota.
Al was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kenneth.
The Dahl family would like to thank Dr. Donald Jurgens, Deb Corrigan, the staff at the Coborn Cancer Center and the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice.
