Mrs. Mohs was very special to me because when I first moved to St. Cloud she rented her basement to myself and Bonnie. She was like a grandmother to us and always made sure that we behaved ourselves. She was a very special woman. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Alma A. Mohs, age 88 of Waite Park who passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2008 at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Reverend Bernard Gruenes will officiate. Entombment will be at the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday (TODAY) and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. The Christian Women will pray a rosary at 6:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Alma was born on May 27, 1919 in St. Martin, Minnesota to John and Elizabeth (Blonigen) Buermann. She lived in Waite Park most of her life. Alma was employed as a seamstress at Stearns manufacturing until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and Christian Women.
Survivors include her children, Norbert (Noel) of Hutchinson, Robert (Sandy) of St. Joseph, Betty (Wayne) Sieben of Paynesville and Irene (Ron) Bruemmer of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert of Paynesville, Roman of St. Joseph, Herbert and Joseph both of Richmond and John of Cold Spring; sisters, Eleanor Bloch of St. Cloud, Martha Rothstein of Cold Spring and Irma Rothstein of Richmond.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Norbert, Ed, and Martin and sister, Rosalia.
