Andrew A. "Andy" Noonan
June 15, 1932 – May 10, 2011

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville, for Andrew A. “Andy” Noonan, age 78, of Paynesville. Andy passed away May 10, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital with family at his side. Burial will take place in Assumption Parish Cemetery in Eden Valley at a later date.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville with a time of sharing held at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday at church.
Andy was born June 15, 1932 in Hillsboro, WI to Leo and Edith (Solchenberger) Noonan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean Conflict. He married Shirley Walgenbach on June 20, 1956 in Upsala, MN. He owned and operated Andy’s Bar in Meire Grove and the County Line Bar in Regal. He drove truck for Hardrive’s for many years. He also enjoyed playing music with the Mello-Tones. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Lake Henry American Legion Post 612, Knight’s of Columbus Council 3820 and St. Cloud Eagle’s Aerie 622.
Andy is survived by his wife Shirley of Paynesville, children Mike (Cindy) Noonan of Paynesville, Deanna (Willie) Lieser of Paynesville, Carmen (Mark) Schmidt of Forest Lake, Linda (Steve) Wander of Cold Spring, Dan (Mark Acosta) of Baltimore, MD, and Juliane (Matt) Carlson of Albertville, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Shirley (Channing) Brown of Huntley, IL, Marion (Jim) Roiniotis of Racine, WI, and brother Rollie (Connie) Huebsch of West Salem, WI.
Preceding him in death were his parents, step mother Dorothy Huebsch-Noonan, and son Patrick (1976).
