Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Angeline E. “Angie” Salzer, 89, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Angie died on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Sterling Park Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Angie was born on January 14, 1922 in Watkins, Minnesota to the late George and Theresa (Papberg) Geislinger. She married Edmund Salzer on October 8, 1940 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Watkins. She lived most of her married life in St. Cloud and was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and Christian Women.
Angie was an accomplished rolex replica seamstress.
Angie is survived by her children, James (Augie) of Dunnellon, Florida, Mary Jane Salzer of St. Cloud, Shirley (Ted) Bergum of New Brighton; three grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Mildred) Geislinger of Waite Park; sister, Ann Thelen of St. Paul; and sister-in-law, Lucille Geislinger of Cold Spring.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund; son, Richard; daughter-in-law, Jerre Salzer; brothers, Leo (Mildred) and Clement Geislinger; and brother-in-law, Chuck Thelen.
