Anna M. Koenig

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Anna M. Koenig, age 72, of St. Cloud will be at 11 am on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Anna died on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The Rev. Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Friends may call between 4-9 pm on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in ST. CLOUD, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church in St. Joseph. St. Joseph parish prayers will be at 6:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home in ST. CLOUD.

Anna was born on August 13 1934 in Kimball, MN to Nicholas and Mary (Mohs) Garding. She married Victor F. Koenig on April 22, 1954 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She was employed at St. John’s University in housekeeping for 25 years retiring in 1997.

Anna will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, canning preserves and gardening.

She is survived by her husband Victor, children: Amy Meyer (Brad) of St. Cloud, Jon (Linda) of Hewitt; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Sally Decker of Cold Spring, Bernadine Nordmann of Richmond and Dorothy Haus of St. Cloud.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
