Anna Marie Proell

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Anna Marie Proell, 80, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud. Anna Marie passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at her home. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Anna Marie was born on December 20, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Joseph and Ellen (Barlow) Primus. She married Leander L. “Lenny” Proell on November 7, 1950 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Anna Marie lived all of her life in St. Cloud and was employed at Walgreens for many years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and an active volunteer with the Food Shelf.

Anna Marie enjoyed league bowling-including a traveling league, reading, playing cards and Scrabble. She was an avid Twins, hockey and dirt track racing fan. Anna Marie will be remembered for her love of family and God.

She is survived by her husband, Lenny of St. Cloud; children, Patty (Scott) Roshaven of St. Cloud, Tony (Mary) of Sartell, Brian of Savage; grandchildren, Erin, Amie, Lindsay, Tara, Austin, Rory and Shannon;  eight great grandchildren; brother, John Primus of Michigan; and sisters, Ellen Voigt of St. Cloud, Alice Hahn of Savage, Leona Roden of St. Cloud and Sr. Ida Marie Primus, OSB of St. Cloud.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerome, Clarence, Edward, Charles and Robert Primus; and sisters, Theresa Meier, Evelyn Lindmeier and Frances Paige.
