So sorry to hear about the passing of Tony. He was around alot while I was growing up and could always be counted on to come up with some sort of funny comment out of the blue. Like others have said great memories and times spent on Mille Lacs or even one time falling into Mille Lacs. He will be missed.

January 23, 1943 – July 12, 2013
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud for Anthony E. Szafranski, age 70, of New Brighton who passed away at his home. Reverend Alfred Stangl will officiate.
Anthony was born on January 23, 1943 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Anthony and Hazel (Hahn) Szafranski. He graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1961. Anthony worked the majority of his life at the Bureau of Engraving in Minneapolis.
Anthony enjoyed spending holidays with his family, and having lunch with his friends.
He is survived by his brother, David (Corrine) of St. Cloud; three nephews, Jon (Anna) of Minneapolis, Paul of Maple Grove, and Michael of Brookings, SD.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents.

Tony was a great friend. I worked with him at the Bureau of Engraving for many years. He loved his computers and he was pretty good with them. We spent many great weekends up at Mille Lacs lake, fishing, telling stories, and we might have had a beer now and then. He traveled with me several times for my job and we traveled for fun as well. We lost close contact with him when we moved to Princeton but he managed to stop in several times on his way back home from visiting family in St. Cloud. He was very proud of his 3 nephews and always let us know what they were up to. We will miss you Tony!
