Arnold C. Groskreutz

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Arnold C. Groskreutz, age 77 of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home. Reverend Alfred Stangl will officiate. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Arnold was born on October 25, 1933 in Harvey Township, Meeker County, Minnesota to Henry and Alma (Radunz) Groskreutz. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Arnie was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad for 20 years. He married Joan E. Hackman on May 31, 1969 in Delano, Minnesota.

Some of the things Arnie enjoyed doing were being outdoors, playing cribbage with his grandchildren, watching Twins baseball, playing cards, visiting with his neighbors, fishing, going to the casino and spending time with his great grandson.

Survivors include his son, Darrel of St. Cloud; two granddaughters, Tiffany Groskreutz of Coon Rapids, Trisha (Bobby) Hoeller of Princeton; great grandson, Mason Hoeller; sisters, Ethel Euerle of Litchfield and Bernice Euerle of Buffalo; sister-in-law, Betty Groskreutz of Litchfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan on August 17, 2000; brother, Clarence; sister, Jeanette Hurley.
