Bernice H. Fischbach
January 25, 1931 – August 24, 2009

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at ST. LOUIS CATHOLIC CHURCH IN PAYNESVILLE for Bernice H. Fischbach, age 78 of Lake Henry who passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009 at Lake Henry. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Entombment will be at the St. Louis Parish Cemetery Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church in PAYNESVILLE. The St. Margaret’s Catholic Aid Association will pray a rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. at the church in PAYNESVILLE. Arrangements were by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.
Bernice was born on January 25, 1931 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Rose (Beste) Renneker. She married Celestine P. Fischbach on May 14, 1952 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. The couple farmed near Long Prairie and she enjoyed working at the Long Prairie Hospital. In 1960 they made their home on a farm near Lake Henry. Bernice was a member of St. Margaret’s Parish and Catholic Aid Association in Lake Henry.
Bernice enjoyed playing the concertina, gardening and flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Celestine; son, Jerry both of Lake Henry; brother and sisters, Marcella Wochnick of Waite Park, Alcuin (Loretta) of Melrose and Kathleen (Joe) Herdering of Freeport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Val (Rita) Fischbach of Compton, Illinois, Alvin (Clara) Fischbach of Cold Spring, Mary Ann Pflipsen of New Munich, Omar (Grace) Fischbach of Cold Spring, Jim (Joann) Fischbach of Forest Lake and Daniel Schlangen of Paynesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joyce Boeckermann and Juanita Schlangen; brothers-in-law, Leroy Wochnick, Frank Boeckermann, Wilfred Fischbach and Donald Pflipsen and sister-in-law, Alzira Radermacher.
Memorials are preferred.
