Betsy Jane Kingsriter

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville for Betsy Jane Kingsriter, age 85, of Paynesville who went to be with the Lord Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Koronis Manor surrounded by her children. Reverend Richard Koehn will officiate. Burial will take place in Zion Cemetery in rural Paynesville.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
Betsy was born on January 2, 1925 in Regal, Minnesota to Arthur and Estella (Gordon) Glenz. She married George Oscar Kingsriter on May 26, 1943 in Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville. She worked hard throughout her life raising her children and grandchildren while also helping with the many activities and chores on the farm. Betsy was also involved in her church as Superintendent, teaching Sunday School, youth leader, special music, and would lead services along with George at the Koronis Manor.
She loved spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, gardening, and horseback riding. Mother also enjoyed delivering flowers for her daughter’s flower shop for many years. Betsy treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Dexter, Gary (Nancy) both of Paynesville, Barb (Ken) Roeber of Pillager, Jeff (Mar) of Lakeville, and Sue (Bob) Brauchler of Regal; grandchildren, Al, April, Aaron, Heidi, Heather, Ryan, Angie, Amanda, Matt, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Erica, Eric, Evan, Josh, Jeremy, Jared, Bromley, William, Everett and Elizabeth; sister and brother, Fern Hertzberg and Gordy Glenz; and many nieces and nephews.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George in 1999; sister, Velda Robbins; brother, Donald Glenz; and twin sister, Betty Mauer.
