Brian Gerrit VanderBeek

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Roadside Tavern in Roscoe, MN for Brian Gerrit VanderBeek, age 64 of Roscoe. Brian passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on March 2, 2024.

Brian was born July 21, 1959 to Gerrit and Marlene (Harding) VanderBeek. He was a Paynesville High School graduate (class of 1977). He married Mary Albrecht on June 30, 1979.  They later divorced, but remained close friends and co-parents.  He worked 25+ years at Paynesville Cenex Farmer’s Union Co-op. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He loved to watch all of his grandchildren in sports. Since retiring in 2018 he has done a lot of woodworking and projects for family and friends.

Brian had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone who crossed his path. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

Brian is survived by his mother Marlene, son Chris VanderBeek (Vanessa Reichert) with grandsons Bryce, Brayden and Bryton, and daughter Amanda Mattheisen (Jon Pflueger) with granddaughter Kasey and grandson Jeffrey.  Brian is also survived by his siblings Diane (Mike) Keller, Carol (Mark) Spoden, Jeff (Susan) VanderBeek, and Angie (Justin) Braun, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Brian is preceded in death by his father Gerrit VanderBeek, and nephew Ryan Keller.
