Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 10, at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church for Carol J. Borman, 78, of St. Cloud, who died January 7, 2012. The Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 PM on Monday (TODAY) and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Carol was born on October 10, 1933 in St. Cloud to Joseph and Clothilda (Weyrens) Zabinski. After graduating from Cathedral High School she attended the St. Cloud School of Nursing, from which she graduated in 1954. She married Donald Borman on August 11, 1962, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She practiced nursing for over forty years at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Gabriel’s in Little Falls, and St. Benedict’s Senior Community. Carol loved to cook, especially bake cookies. She assembled a thorough family tree for both the Zabinski and Weyrens families. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who particularly enjoyed fishing with Don in her retirement.
Carol is survived by: her daughter Helen (Dan) Koland of Woodbury; grandsons Daniel and Peter Koland; brothers and sisters, Alice (Ben) Supan of St. Stephen, Donna Adolph, Joe Zabinski, Jerry (Kathy) Zabinski, Bob (Nancy) Zabinski of Waite Park, Jean (Ray) Weyer of St. Joseph, Jack (Lue) Zabinski of North Prairie; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don on December 6, 2011, infant sister Mary, infant brother Jimmy, brother-in-law Dick Adolph, sister-in-law Joan Zabinski, and nephew Andy Zabinski.
