Caroline A. DeMorett

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Caroline A. DeMorett, age 88 of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Timothy Wenzel will officiate. Burial will be at St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery in Watkins.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday (TODAY) and after 8:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. The Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 5:00 p.m. and the Christian Women and Legion of Mary at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Caroline was born on December 7, 1918 in Forest City, Minnesota to Math and Mathilda (Grotz) Loch. She married Math J. DeMorett on October 26, 1938 at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Forest City. The couple farmed near Eden Valley and later near St. Nicholas until they moved to Watkins in 1970. They made their home in St. Cloud since 1995. Caroline was employed by Animal Fair in Eden Valley from 1970 until 1982. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish, Legion of Mary, Daughters of Isabella and Christian Women.

Caroline is survived by her children, Arlene (Ludwig) Asfeld of Woodstock, Illinois, RoseMary Brix (Joe Klein) of St. Cloud, Betty Jane Harry (Gerald Wruck) of St. Cloud and Edward (Charlene Meyer) of Cold Spring; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Broll of Buffalo and Margaret (Kenneth) Hennen of Maple Lake; sister-in-law, Elvira DeMorett of Eden Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 20, 1997; sisters, Marie Schultz and Marcella Neu; sons-in-law, Douglas Brix and Fred Harry.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
