Chester G. "Bud" Hoyt Sr.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 27th, at 1:30 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Clearwater for Chester “Bud” G. Hoyt Sr., age 89, of Clearwater, who died on Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Scott Gjevre will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. Friends may call on Tuesday after 11:00 AM at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Chester was born March 21st, 1923 in McHenry, ND to George and Fannie (Merrick) Hoyt. He married Margaret Bartlett on August 17th, 1942 in New Rockford, ND. He has lived in Clearwater since 1969. Chester was employed as a carpenter in Central Minnesota for many years.

Chester loved wood working, fishing, cards, dancing, and being around his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, children, Gene Hoyt (Bertha) Longville, Sandy Hoyt, St. Cloud, grandchildren, Natalie Provo, Annandale, Timothy Hoyt, Cooperstown, ND, Margo Dingmann, Clearwater, Tom Hoyt, Clearwater, Nita Searcy, Clearwater, Gigi Hoyt, Park Rapids, and Chad Hoyt, Avon, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Timothy and ten brothers and sisters.
