Corrine P. Faber

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Corrine Faber, age 90, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at St. Peters Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Corrine passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Chateau Waters. Burial will take place in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Corrine was born Feb. 19, 1936 to Walter and Viola (Bregel) Hessing in Redwood Falls. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1954 and the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. Corrine was employed as a registered nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital and retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 25 years.
As a member of St. Peter’s Parish, she spent many years as an Apostolate of the Legion of Mary, serving as president. Corrine also belonged to the Daughters of Isabella, serving as Chancellor, Christan Women of St. Peter’s and she was a volunteer for the Red Cross. She and her family spent all their summers at their lake home, enjoying water-skiing until she was 67 years old. Her other hobbies included dancing, reading, enjoying all animals and traveling on all continents of the world.
Corrine married Marvin H. Faber on June 21, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Ulm. Two children were born to this union, Steven and Diane. Marvin passed away at age 57, in 1990. Diane passed away at age 33, in 1994.
In Sept. 1993 she married Leslie K. Mackereth at Christ Catholic Church (Newman Center) in St. Cloud. After his death in 1997 she married J. Nick Demuth at the V.A. Medical Center Chapel in St. Cloud.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Michele Sit) Faber, of Deephaven, MN; granddaughter Brittney (William) Oberrender of Rye, New York; great grandchildren Liam Marvin, Camilla, and Brooks; former daughter-in-law Connie VanHousen of New Hope; and sister Joan (Bob) Archer of Grand Canyon, AZ.
She is also survived by her stepchildren: Wayne (Molly) Mackereth and their children Zach and Andy: Kalvin (Kim) Mackereth and their children Krystal, Katie, Kelly and Kenadi; Bruce (Shellie) Mackereth and their children Cody and Cassie; and David Mackereth (deceased) and his children Brian, Megan and Tina; and 16 great grandchildren.
Furthermore, she is survived by her stepchildren: Nick (Lisa) Demuth and their children Kayla, Shelisa, Nicole and Nicholas; David (Julie) Demuth and their children Eric, Ashley, Andrew and Alex; John (Suzanne) Demuth and their children Brandon and Aaron; Mary Bush and her children Carson and Camden; and Chris (Vickie) Demuth and their children Courtney, Christopher, Brock and Noah; and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and her daughter Diane Faber.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to All Saints Academy and St. Cloud Humane Society.
