November 30, 2026 – June 3, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 6, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Darol L. Studer, who died on June 3, 2014. The Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM on Friday both at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish Prayers will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday at the Funeral Home in St. Joseph.Reber on May 3, 1958 in St. Joseph.
Darol lived most of his life in St. Joseph, and was employed as a Lineman for NSP for 30 years. Darol enlisted and proudly served during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. s interests included: riding his Harley, collecting and displaying US flags, playing tricks and board games with his grandchildren, collecting stamps, embroidering, feeding his chipmunks, making canes for his friends, and telling jokes to everyone he met.s Catholic Church, St. Joseph American Legion Post #328, St. Joseph Area Historical Society, St. Joseph Rod and Gun Club, and the NRA. He was a life member of VFW 4847, the Marine Corps League Valahalla Detachment #171, DAV St. Cloud #9, and the Military Historical Society of MN Camp Ripley. He was a MN DNR volunteer firearms safety instructor for over 40 years.
Darol is survived by his wife Ellie; children, Cathy Studer, Tony (Ana Maria), Theresa (Steve) Dingmann, Nick (Heidi), Chris (Esther), Sarah (Mickey) Young; brothers and sisters, Bill Studer, Marlene Looyen, Vicky Vogel, Laura Studer; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Studer family would like to extend a special thanks to Reeny and the Hospice team, Tom Klecker, and all who came to visit and sent cards. Your kindness is much appreciated.
