David F. Rothstein

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for David F. Rothstein, age 91, of St. Joseph, who passed away October 10, 2010 in St. Cloud. Reverend Joseph Feders, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph.

David was born November 19, 1918 in Eden Valley, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth (Lahr) Rothstein. He married Louise Forner in 1940 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. He was an U.S. Army veteran. He worked as an accountant at Landy Packing in St. Cloud for 28 years and retired in 1981. He continued to work as a Finance Officer and Gambling Controller at the Waite Park American Legion Post 428 and as a Bailiff at Stearns County District Court in St. Cloud until 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, VFW Post 4847, American Legion Post 428, 40 & 8 Post 415 and Eagles Aerie 622.
David is survived by his son Allan (Judith) Rothstein of Silver Spring, Maryland, and three grandchildren Christine, David and Cara and three great grandchildren

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Louise, and seven brothers and six sisters.
