Dennis H. Lieser

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Dennis H. Lieser age 62 of Paynesville will be on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Reverend Richard Leisen, Reverend Gregory Lieser, Reverend Vincent Lieser, Reverend Timothy Baltes and Reverend Mark Stang will con-celebrate. Dennis passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Paynesville Area Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Arrangements were by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville.

Dennis was born on July 11, 1943 in Belgrade, Minnesota to Roman and Theresa (Dingmann) Lieser. He married Rosie Eibensteiner on October 30, 1965 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, Minnesota. Dennis farmed in Zion Township until 2001 and later was employed by Viessman Trucking. He was a member of St. Louis Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Dennis enjoyed baseball as a player and later as an avid fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Rosie; mother, Theresa of Paynesville; children, Tammi (Chris) Herdegen of Mound, Kristi (Brent) Anderson of Maple Grove, Lenny (Penny) of Ham Lake, Tim (Barb) of Circle Pines, Jon of Arden Hills and Lynn of Paynesville; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Vern of Anoka, James of Phoenix, Arizona, Dave of Montevideo, Mike of Plano, Texas, Steve of Browerville, Joleen Miller of Springfield, Virginia and Annette Goff of Circle Pines.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Roman and brother Terry.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the St. Louis Parish Youth Ministry.
