Elaine M. Bottomley

Elaine Mary Bottomley, age 93, of St. Cloud, passed away October 3, 2026, at her Benet Place residence in St. Cloud. Private graveside services will be held at the Brunswick Lutheran Cemetery in Mora.
Elaine was born January 12, 1933, in St. Paul, MN to Nicholas and Helen (Irene) Reckinger. Her family moved to Mora when she was freshman at Mora High School. She met Gene Bottomley when he came home from serving in the Army. They married in Mora and they enjoyed 73 years of marriage, adding three sons and a daughter to their family.
Being a stay-at-home mom, she baked thousands of cookies while the children were growing up. Holidays reigned supreme, as she was a creative cook and loved to decorate and entertain. To her, the most meaningful thing she did was to send out hundreds of cards to all who were going through a difficult time.
Elaine is survived by her sons Bryant (Theresa) and Sterling, her six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Heather (2013), son James (2024) and brothers Bryant, Richard and Douglas Reckinger.
