Eleanor M. Bloch

Requiem Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (313 28th Avenue N., St. Cloud) for Eleanor M. Bloch, 84, of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday, September 08, 2009 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. The Reverend Brendan Hughes, CMRI will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Eleanor was born December 11, 1924 in Richmond, Minnesota to John and Elizabeth (Blonigen) Buermann. She worked ten years at the St. Cloud Hospital prior to her marriage. She married Edwin H. Bloch on June 8, 1955 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond and lived in St. Cloud all of her married life. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Eleanor enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, crocheting and spending time with loved ones at the family cabin.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edwin of St. Cloud; children, Elmer, Daniel (Kim), Randy (Elizabeth), Steven (Cheryl) all of St. Cloud, Daryl (Patrice) of Sauk Rapids, LuAnn (Brian) Bedel of St. Joseph, Larry (Sandy) of Sartell; 25 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; brothers and sisters, Robert (Dorothy) Buermann of Paynesville, Irma Rothstein of Richmond, Roman (Lorraine) Buermann of St. Joseph, Martha (Andrew) Rothstein of Cold Spring, Herbert Buermann of Richmond, John Buermann of Cold Spring, and Joseph (Betty) Buermann of Richmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Walter in 1998; brothers and sisters, Martin, Edmund and Norbert Buermann, Alma Mohs and Rosalia Buermann.
