Eleanor P. Kroll

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Eleanor P. Kroll, age 91, of Holdingford will be at 11 am on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in St. Wendel, MN. Eleanor died peacefully on April 3, 2010 at the summer home of her son Everett in Sartell. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call between 4-8 pm on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Sartell and after 10 am on Thursday at the church in St. Wendel. St. Columbkille parish prayers will be at 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home in Sartell.

Eleanor was born on Nov. 3, 1918 in Bowlus, MN to Mathew and Louise (Ostrowski) Posch. She married John J. Kroll on September 10, 1940 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN. She and her husband farmed in the St. Wendel area for 43 years. When she retired from farming she catered for 26 years primarily at the Eagles Club. She was a member of St. Columbkille parish in St. Wendel where she was active in her church and preparing the food for the Fall Festival.

Eleanor will be remembered for her generosity and her delicious coffee cakes. She was a hard working person for 81 years of her life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son and his wife Everett (Barbara) of Sartell, grandchildren and their spouses: Jean (Tom) Randall, Marcia (Paul) Johnson, Shelley (John) Zenner, Tricia (Alan) Kirmeier and Shawn (Stacy) Kroll; great grandchildren: Christine and Jessica Randall, Britney and Cassandra Johnson, Greyson, Liam and Anya Zenner, Ajay Kirmeier and Quintin Kroll; sisters and brother: Agnes Barnett of CA, Louise Osga of Sartell and Cyril Posch of St. Cloud.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 2004, sisters: Alvina Kutzman, Alfred Posch and Emma Skroch.
