Esther E. Reischl

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Esther E. Reischl, age 75, of St. Joseph. Esther passed away July 9 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in St. Joseph.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 22 and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish Prayers will be 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Esther was born November 3, 1937 in St. Joseph, Minnesota to Joseph and Pauline (Lauermann) Reischl. She was employed in housekeeping by the Harry Knevel family for 35 years and later by St. Benedict’s Monastery for 15 years. She retired November 1, 2002. She was a member and Past President of the St. Joseph Legion Auxiliary Post 328, Daughters of Isabella, Y2K Lions of St. Joseph, St. Joseph Senior Citizens and Stearns County History Museum.

Esther enjoyed life. Esther was a people person and could have a good conversation with anyone. Esther enjoyed time with family and friends. Esther enjoyed time at Kay’s Kitchen and Monday nights playing Bar Bingo at the Legion. Esther was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed her. Esther will be missed by her family and friends.

Esther is survived by her brothers and sisters Carol Reischl of Holdingford, Richard of Watkins, Arthur of Clear Lake, James of St. Cloud, Edmund (Mary Lou) of Eden Valley and JoAnn (Robert) Schleper of Sartell and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers and sisters Renee Midas, Marcy Pfannenstein, Jeanette Johannes, Marion Wasner, and Sylvester “Sonny."

Family would like to thank St. Cloud Hospital staff for taking care of Esther. Family would also like to thank Esther’s friends at the apartment complex for being there when Esther needed a hand.
