Ethel C. Meagher

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Ethel C. Meagher, age 81 of Paynesville who passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.

Ethel was born on March 4, 1932 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Max and Cecilia (Storkamp) Kuebelbeck. She was united in marriage to Art Meagher at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Minnesota. They made their home in Paynesville since 1971.

Ethel is survived by her 15 children: Elaine Miller, Jane (Steve) Frieler, Jackie (John) Braun, Mike (Debbie), all of Paynesville, Kelly (Andy) Mueller of Lake Henry, Pat (Lorie) of Paynesville, Mary (Elmer, Jr) Stommes of Eden Valley, Shannon (Ron) Kuhl of Sartell, Erin (Lanni) of Amery, Wisconsin, Kerry Bridget (Ron) Jude of Maple Lake, Margaret Meagher of Maplewood, Susan (Mike) Bougie of Falcon Heights, Sean (Angela) of Lake Shore, Peter (Christine) of Harris and Cory (Tammy) of Paynesville. She is also survived by 56 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Polly Hoover of St. Cloud, Margaret Reber of Monticello, Mary Johannes of St. Joseph, Richard of St. Joseph, Carol Opatz of St. Wendel, Jenny Faughn of South St. Paul, Jim of St. Joseph, Kenneth of Waite Park and Jay of St. Cloud.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Art in 1987, son-in-law Larry Miller, grandson Jacob Meagher and brothers, John and Allen.
